I remember my parents telling me as I was growing up: “You have two ears and one mouth. This means do twice as much listening as talking!”
When I was learning to be a sales person, much of the training centred around listening to your prospects.
When I read, watch and learn from great leaders, I see they have a great skill in staying present and listening to people intently.
To enjoy work more, make a super conscious effort to listen more than you speak. Remember what my mum and dad said: “You have two ears and one mouth. This means do twice as much listening as talking!”
